Stratton Christmas Party

Once again a rip roaring time was had by all as we played to the crowd at the Stratton Village Hall for their annual Christmas Party. We did some Christmas classics from Slade and Wizard to name but a few and invited all the organisers to participate with us using some accompaniments including sleighbells and maracas.

"Rosie Cheeks Gonna Light My Merry Way.........."

The party continued into the early hours as everyone ate, drank and danced the night away.

So here's wishing everyone in Stratton and all of our friends a warm and beautiful Christmas and a prosperous and fulfilling 2012! We are back early in the New Year, please see our "Dates For Your Diary".

History of the Band

Although newly formed in 2011, we participated in some professional events and raised money for "Help The Heroes" with Havenfest at the Ocean Room Weymouth Pavilion in the January, at the Kingston Maurward College in March which raised money for two charities; the SpecialCare Baby Unit (SCBU) at Dorset County Hospital (DCH) and for Margaret GreenAnimal Rescue; We performed at Beach Live 2011 in the July followed by the eve of the Weymouth Carnival in August where we were back on the beach again. We made a big hit in Stratton on their Village Green for a superb summer party which they aptly named "Stratton-bury" and was asked to return for Christmas to get them into the party mood. What fun we had with the crowd,getting them to join in with us with sleigh bells, maracas and various blow up instruments!! It was a great evening. We have lots lined up for this year and look forward to seeing you at one of our gigs. Here's wishing you lots of fun times, from Goldie Rox!!
